        Standardization of Indian Sign Language is a programme especially taken for developments related to
        ISL. Under this, CIET has recorded 579 sign language videos based on textbook lessons in Indian Sign
        Language (ISL) in collaboration with ISLRTC. In all 580 textbook based ISL videos recorded. Out of these,
        490 videos (classes 1 to 5) are also uploaded on DIKSHA. Also, about 10,000 ISL dictionary words have
        also been uploaded on DIKSHA, from these 200 ISL dictionary videos with audio/voice over with subtitles
        and also flip books have been prepared. A core committee has been identified for initiating the task of
        standardization of ISL. Fourth meeting of this core team was held in June- 28 July 2021 to carve out the
        major tasks of ISL sign variants collection, development of dictionary and course in ISL.  ISL advocacy is being
        done through live interactive sessions on PMeVIDYA DTH TV Channels, “Teaching Learning Interventions
        in Inclusive Classrooms”. Till September, 112 sessions of 30 minutes each have been telecast on PMeVIDYA
        DTH TV Channels. Each session has a mandatory ISL interpreter.

        eContents in Indian Sign Language (ISL) based on NCERT textbooks (Classes 1-5) have been jointly
        developed and launched by ISLRTC and NCERT on 23 September 2021 on World Sign Language Day. The
        launch function was graced by Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar;
