NEP 2020 has clearly stated in clause 24.4, the requirement of inclusion of digital tools in teaching learning and assessment process as the emergence of digital technologies and the emerging importance
of leveraging technology for teaching-learning at all levels from school to higher education is the requirement of present time. In clause NEP 2020 states 24.4 (i) Blended models of learning: While
promoting digital learning and education, the importance of face-to-face in-person learning is fully recognized. Accordingly, different effective models of blended learning will be identified for appropriate
replication for different subjects.
With the motive to enhance teaching-learning processes, different subjects require dedicated tools for exploration and knowledge construction. Hence, certain tools are designed digitally in such a manner to
completely fit into the arena of learning of particular subjects. For example; tool like GeoGebra is a dynamic tool that can be used to learn or teach any subject like physics, economics, accountancy, etc.
that has a mathematical background.
As an effort to leverage the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators, and various stakeholders on the exploration and utilization of digital tools for teaching, learning and assessment for
specific subjects in order to enrich the classroom experiences, CIET-NCERT is organizing a five-day online training on “Digital Tools for Teaching, Learning and Assessment of Specific Subjects” from May
