Theme for July, 2022 : Stay Safe in Cyber World

What is Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas?
The Ministry of Home Affairs is implementing a scheme called the”Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C)” to deal with cyber crimes in a coordinated and comprehensive manner. In order to create awareness amongst students of schools & colleges, teachers and parents it is proposed to observe “Cyber Jaagrookta (Awareness) Diwas'' on the first wednesday of every month in all Schools/Colleges/Universities/Panchayati Raj Institutions(PRI) and Municipalities by involving District Magistrates Police Authorities, Officers of Education Department etc.

About the Theme:
For the month of July, 2022 CIET-NCERT has planned sessions on the theme “Stay Safe in Cyber World” in collaboration with Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA), CDAC, Hyderabad. Five live interaction sessions will be conducted on the given theme on the first Wednesday i.e. 06/07/2022 & the subsequent Friday’s (i.e. 01/07/2022, 08/07/2022, 15/07/2022 & 22/07/2022). At the end of the session series, a comprehensive quiz will be launched based on all the sessions conducted in the month of July, 2022 on cyber safety and security.

Objectives:

The objective of the training program is to inculcate the Internet Ethics, Cyber hygiene, understanding information security and follow secure practices in the digital world.
At the end of the session the participants should be able to-

  • Understand policy recommendations on Information Security in the light of NEP, 2020.
  • Understand Critical Characteristics of Information Security and combating Cyber Attacks
  • Understanding Cyber Security in schools for students, teachers and parents during online learning.
  • Ensuring Desktop / laptop, Browser & Wifi Security and understanding Digital footprint
  • Understanding Social Engineering Techniques and its Preventive measures.

Step: 3 Participation in Post-Session Activity and Certification: Post session quiz will be conducted based on the 5 sessions listed in the programme schedule, the link of the quiz will be released at the end the 5th session on 22 July, 2022. To get a certificate, participate and score 50% & above. Participants are allowed to take 3 attempts at the quiz.
