On the Occasion of completion of one year of NEP 2020, DoSEL & NCERT organized a National Webinar
on ‘Towards an Equitable and Inclusive Society: Realizing the Goals of NEP2020’ on 30 July, 2021 from
10:30 am - 1:30 pm. Smt. Annpurna Devi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education graced the occasion and

Hon’ble Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has launched the National Initiative for
Proficiency in reading with Understanding and Numeracy (NIPUN) Bharat under the Atma Nirbhar
Programme on 5 July, 2021. NIPUNBharat is a national mission on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy
(FLN) that aims at universal acquisition of FLN skills by children in Class 3, by 2026-27. The mission will
cover learning needs of children between 3-9 years.
