Activities

(a) A conference highlighting the research in the country on reading and other literacy      practices in Indian classrooms to be organised annually. This will provide a platform      for deliberation and sharing of ideas and approaches.
(b) The Reading Materials Cell will start a chapter of the International Reading      Association. This will enable the Cell to gain inputs on current research in the field of      reading and create awareness and provide knowledge to gain perspective in reading      related research.
(c) A Journal on reading will be brought out to share and review the experiences gained      along with theoretical supplements.
